Jakob Fichert’s recitals include great works from the canon as well as hidden gems, often neglected in concert programmes. His solo repertoire ranges from renaissance to contemporary; he premiered numerous works – many dedicated to him.

Jakob has given numerous piano masterclasses at various institutions in the UK and abroad. Jakob holds the position of Principal Lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire and teaches at the Universities of York, Leeds and Hull. He is ABRSM examiner.

Jakob completed a PhD, The Piano Works of Adolf Busch – Aspects of Style and Pianism, at University of York in 2023. He has worked as an editor for Breitkopf & Härtel since 2018 and looked after two of their new publications. Jakob is also collaborating with the the Karlsruhe-based Busch Kollegium and its founder clarinettist Bettina Beigelbeck.
