Chamber Music has always played a central role in Jakob’s performing career. He has gained plenty of experience throughout the years playing with very distinguished chamber music partners. Ensembles include piano trios with strings, wind and piano groups, combinations such as the clarinet trio with cello and numerous duo partnerships.
Amongst his regular partners are the violinists Diana Galvydyte and Ittai Shapira, the cellists Oliver Coates and Pavlos Carvalho, the violist Konstantin Boyarsky, the clarinettist Janet Hilton and the baritone Christian Immler.
Together with the pianist Vicky Yannoula he has recorded the complete works for 2 pianos and four hands for Toccata Classics. With Janet Hilton he will record a CD for NAXOS containing the three sonatas for clarinet and piano by Max Reger.
